Our little marina is annually invaded by wayward sea lions which come to feed on the winter salmon runs. It won't be long and they'll dissappear again for another year. Who knows, maybe I'll even miss their barks and growls which echo through the neighborhood all night long.

I tried an experiment and, uh, it didn't work. The only natural predator is the orca whale so I tried a scarecrow tactic and tied an inflatable orca to the dock. Now they just growl louder. Mating calls perhaps?
