Satisfied in submerged cages

Reading more science articles than usual...hmmm, but this caught my eye.   Relevant because I crewed with my old pal Bob Thorstenson on a fish farm tender here just off of Seattle. We basically had this huge floating fish tank running oxygen so that the fish could survive the trip back up the Green River where they were processed and shipped fresh the world over. Winter gig, before we headed back north. Snow on deck sometimes. I remember Fisherman's terminal was frozen over and we broke the ice to get out.  http://bit.ly/hhL0uY  blah...blah...blah...

Satisfied in submerged cages: Salmon happy in deeper water: "The salmon swim bladder requires an air supply in order to regulate the fish's buoyancy. Until now, however, no one realised just how seldom salmon need to surface for air. This need is being quantified by researchers at CREATE, one of 14 Norwegian Centres for Research-based Innovation established four years ago with funding from the Research Council of Norway."
