About a year and a half ago I was on my way down to Olympia and pulled into this uncharted marina. Took a look around this creaky, weathered relic and the surrounding neighborhood and decided I'd like to rent the place across the street. I didn't get that rental until about four months ago, but the boat has stayed. Turns out my landlord's family built and operated this marina until about 30 years ago. It used to be "the beach" around here, with a bustling boat rental and grocery store. Now, half of it's condemned and is probably a front for a Geoduck distributor.
